Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold

Ever since I got the Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle(see my review post and post), I am totally impressed with Becca products and want to try their famous shimmering skin perfector.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold (here)

There are 4 shades available: Opal, Moonstone, Rose Gold & Topaz. All of my highlighters are the champagne golden shades and the two beach tint shimmer souffle I have is infused with Opal and Moonstone(Lychee & Watermelon). So it is quite an easy choice for me to pick the rose gold shade.

The product in the pan may look a bit deep in color in pictures.

But when it is swatched, it is a true rose gold shade. This rose gold shade was introduced in their 2013 fall limited collection. It had a raised pattern in the pan for their limited collection. But now that it is permanent, it is just the regular packaging.

This highlighter is finely-milled and very pigmented. I like that I could easily pair this with any blush. Just like their beach shimmer tint souffle, you only need a very light hand for application.

I apply it on top of my cheeks with Benefit Rockateur blush which is also a rose gold-toned. The highlighter is visible but yet not right in your face telling the whole world that you're wearing highlighter. I am very happy with the shade I picked and it is perfect for medium skin-toned gals.

Have you tried any Becca products?

  1. That is a beautiful shade!
Besides the Opal in tube I've reviewed before, I've only tried their primer and foundation. While they perform beautifully, my face broke out for some reason (to be fair, you never know what really does this to your face, though). I think the pressed powder one is much easier to use than the cream. :)

    1. Oh too bad the product doesn't agree with your skin. I hate break-outs from products and it always takes me a while to realize which product is causing the problem as I tend to test out a few new products at the same time. I was debating on whether to get this in the tube or pressed but think pressed is easier for me to handle.

  2. Ooh I been eyeing this! I've only tried the liquid highlighters, the pressed powders have been on my wishlist but haven't bitten yet. I'm glad this became permanent though

    1. I find it a bit challenging to apply the liquid highlighters. I have the Benefit High Beam and Josie Maran one and it is hard for to squeeze out the amount of product I need. This one doesn't look too amazing in the pan but it is so pretty on cheeks. Check it out if you can.

  3. How surprising. In the pan it looks a bit dull, but it's so vibrant once on the skin. I haven't tried this brand before. :] // itsCarmen.com ☼

    1. When I opened it up, I was a bit surprised to see the color in the pan as it looks like a dark bronzer to me. But when it is swatched and applied, it is such a gorgeous shade.

    1. yes I love rose gold and I WILL have to check out Nars Outlaw now :) I haven't seen the zoeva brush set but I notice there are a few brands which come up with rose gold brush set and I'm so weak and may have to cave in and get a set sooner or later.

not sure if im getting that, or the bigger set but in silver & black, or a sigma brush set. i really like the design of the zoeva rosegold brushes, the only problem is there are only 8 of them and i want all my brushes to look alike in color lol (ocd tendencies)

    1. I have the Beach tint souffle with opal and it is just gorgeous. I have had a few highlighters in my collection but nothing like the Becca ones. They are truly amazing.

  6. That's really pretty! You keep making me want to try more Becca products. :) I tried a rose gold highlighter from Laura Mercier a few years ago, but I reacted badly to it. Maybe this Becca one would work!

    1. I have never tried Becca products until recently and truly amazed by all the products so far. I have a few highlighters in my collection but nothing compared to Becca ones. I have tried Laura Mercier as well but it doesn't show up my skin tone so much and neither do MAC skinfinish. Hope you will get to try Becca soon. You will love it.
