Tuesday's Treats

Participating in Spot of Tea's Tuesday's Treats blog hop this week.

What have I been lusting/loving lately?

As summer is approaching, time to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. Over here in this part of Canada, summer is really short(from June to early September), so soak up the sun as much as I can.

La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra fluid Lotion SPF 60

Discovered this lightweight sunscreen for face a while ago and absolutely loving it. Putting sunscreen on oily skin does not become a chore for me anymore. It is so light and absorbent that you barely notice it is there.

La Roche Posay Anthelios XL melt in cream SPF 60 for body

In Canada, La Roche Posay is available at Shoppers Drug Mart. Very convenient for me to get fortunately. Since I love the fluid lotion for face so much, went back to get the Anthelios XL melt in cream for body.

Also a very lightweight and non-greasy lotion. Easy to apply and not sticky at all. Does not have any scent either making it so pleasant to apply.

The Anthelios XL melt in cream kit I got also include a aftersun gel lotion. Love it!

  1. Sun from June to September in your part of the world sounds pretty much the same as the amount we get in Scotland lol. I agree, soak it up while you can! Following your blog & look forward to your posts :)

    1. I sometimes envy people who live in places where 10 months out of the whole year is warm. Whenever it's not freezing cold outside, we are outside :)

      Thanks for dropping by!

  2. I like that sunscreen bottle, looks like you end up with less stuck in the bottle when it is almost empty. I need a lightweight sunscreen during the summer too. Wonder if that brand is available near me. I've never seen it before; I'll have to look around.

    1. Are you in the States? I believe you can get La Roche Posay online or try CVS.

  3. Hm, I wonder if they have La Roche in the States. I have oily skin too and I usually just use face lotion with SPF instead of probably more potent sunscreen for the face. Has worked OK but there's not usually a load of SPF. This sounds like a great option for me.

    1. I think you can order online :http://www.laroche-posay.us/_us/_en/consumer/home/index.aspx
or try CVS. Ever since I switched to this, applying sunscreen to my oily screen is not a chore anymore.

    1. In my younger days, I would never go for sunscreen more than SPF 30(love suntan). But now as I get older, only use SPF 45 and higher.

      Thanks for dropping by! :)

  5. I have so many bottles of sunscreen which expired before I used them up. Hopefully, I will use up these before they expire and I'm pretty sure I will as I don't mind putting them on at all :)

  6. I hate the feeling of oily sunscreen on my skin. It makes my sunglasses slide off and the sweat+sunscreen is def not attractive haha!

Would you recommend this sunscreen for a humid area? I have been looking for a non oily product. :)

    Thanks!

    1. I feel the same way before and I HATE applying sunscreen as I have oily skin and sunscreen just add the stickiness to my skin. But I absolutely love this. Yes, I would definitely recommend this for humid weather. It can get very hot and humid here in the summer and since this is so lightweight, I am looking forward to it this summer.

  7. I wish I were more diligent in applying sunscreen. I generally always try to make sure that my day cream has SPF in it. It's good that the BB cream I use also has SPF as well. I haven't found the perfect standalone sunscreen though, the ones I've used have always been a bit chalky and heavy.
