Lands' End Canvas Shorts in Seersucker

After a solid 5 days of rain which our lawn desperately needed, back to warm summery weather. That means, bring out the shorts!

I used to wear shorts all the time. Short shorts. But as I'm getting older, the length of my shorts is getting longer. The Bermuda shorts I got from J. Crew factory are suitable to wear to work. But for short shorts, 5" is the shortest I can get.

Last weekend, Land's End Canvas had a great deal on shorts. $12 and free shipping. Can't miss out on those. But I was a bit late in the game as the color I wanted was out of stock during the sale (now it is back)

V neck tee from Abercrombie & Fitch

The color I wanted first is the navy blue stripes but the red stripes are very nice too. It is back to its original price of $45 now. 

I have to say these shorts are extremely comfortable. They are a bit short IMO for myself but not too too short to wear out. I don't know how many pairs of shorts I bought before that are just appropriate to wear inside the house. 

If these shorts go on sale soon again, I would no doubt pick up the navy stripes as well.

    I'm more brave in picking colorful bottoms now. Still conscious so I try to pair it with neutral tops.

      I wouldn't go grab one if it's on regular price ($45) but if they go on sale, definitely pick the navy stripes up.

      I find LEC sizing a bit bigger than J. Crew. I am between a 4 and 6 for J. Crew but always size down with LEC.

    What an amazing deal from Lands End! I think the shorts are a very good length. I've decided that a 3 inch inseam is a good length for me, but no shorter.

      I love stripes but always worried striped shorts would make my bottom look wide but these ones look good as they are vertical stripes, thank goodness!

      yes, love love love the texture as I can just take it out of the washer, dry and then wear it, I hate ironing!

    I just got these shorts today! I wanted the navy striped one too but I do like the red stripes. They are very comfy and I love the texture. The length is a bit short on me, but I agree that it's not too short to wear out. Thanks for posting!

    Love those! I find myself buying longer shorts as well.. though mostly for comfort since I hate when my thighs rub together hahaha tmi? oh well!

      As I get more " germaphobic" as I get older, even if I had the body to pull off, I hate the feeling of my thighs rubbing chairs in restaurants, so the longer the shorts, it's better :)

    Cute shorts, the pinstripe is a nice detail :) Hope you manage to get the navy ones on sale. Always a bonus when a garment is comfortable - it's the no.1 thing I'm looking for in my clothes :p
