I like eyeliners which are thin and precise. I don't have the steadiest hands and I don't have much patience in applying eyeliner over and over again on my eyelids.
For the longest time, I used Revlon thin eyeliner. The one you have to buy the refills to be inserted into the pen-like liner. That was ages and ages ago. As I recall, that is the one my Mom used when I was growing up and probably still using :)
My current favorite is the Physicians Formula lash boosting liner. It gives me the preciseness of an eyeliner that I want. I have used that for a solid 2 years and it is at the end of its life. There is also another Physicians' Formula liner which came out last year but is more like a marker head tip. Not liking that one at all.
Maybelline masterduo by eyestudio 2-in-1 glossy liquid liner in black lacquer
Showing how easy it is to switch from thick to thin line and verse versa by simply turning the eyeliner sideways
This is the applicator
If you use the top head part, it would create a thick line. If you want a thin line, simply turn the applicator sideways a tiny bit and you would get the finest line.
It is indeed extremely easy to use. Very black in my opinion, just the way I like it. Also very glossy. Unlike other liquid eyeliners I have tried, this one takes a bit longer to dry so allowing you to correct your mistakes right away. The Milani liquif'eye stays on your eyelids for such a long time. Bravo for staying power. But when you don't have a steady hand, tend to make mistakes and it would be almost impossible to correct your boo-boo without using the eye makeup remover to undo your whole eye makeup and start all over.
Also grabbed the new limited edition of baby lips in plummy yummy
I know the limited editions have been released for a while but I could never find them in my local drug stores. So I was super-excited to see this together with 5 colors are finally here at my local Shoppers Drug Mart.
Baby Lips color is so gawjuss <3
ReplyDeleteI love the slight hint of color on these ever-moisturizing lip balms :)
DeleteI've been on the lookout for a new liquid liner, this one looks great!
ReplyDeleteI have been using this for a few days and so far it's very good. Easy to glide on but need some getting used to the applicator.
DeleteThank you for these reviews! My personal favourite is Bobbi Brown Long Last Gel Eyeliner. It is very wear resistant and there is a great selection of different colours. Before that I used Shiseido liquid eyeliner, for which you can buy refills. The Maybelline one looks like a really good, affordable option.
ReplyDeleteI have used the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner for a good few years. Don't know if it 's my luck or not, but mine dried out quite fast. I went through 2 pots and still the same. It is such a good formula and stays on long. Just too bad it won't keep moist.
Deletethe liner seems to be an interesting concept! My hand is shaky so probably is a no=go for me :0
ReplyDeleteI used it a few times and I am still getting used to the applicator as I like thin lines and need to position the applicator steady before applying . But it is very glossy and stays on for a long time.
Deletelove the look of the Maybelline baby lips, I wish they were available in the UK without having to pay silly shipping fees on ebay. Wow I've never seen a liner like that before x
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel as I always want some beauty products from UK and not available here in Canada and have to pay crazy shipping fees!
DeleteOoh that is so exciting, i hvsvr never seen that color before!!
ReplyDeleteI have been searching high and low for these for months and finally they are available in my area. So happy!
DeleteWhoops i meant * have
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteLove the applicator!
ReplyDeleteyes, isn't it unique! Quite interesting but need some practice in getting used to :)
Deleteoo very interesting applicator! i really like how you can use it two different ways. and it's so black!
ReplyDeletethe Baby Lips is an awesome color! i havent seen the Limited Editions ones being released on its own (i've only seem them packaged with one of the regular Baby Lips)
the liner is super black and it is very glossy which I love. The applicator is a bit tricky but I have only used it two times and it always need some getting used to for every new liner. I'm happy that the new Baby Lips are sold individually instead of in a package. I have a few other colors already.
DeleteOoo the brush on the eyeliner looks cool! I should try this. :)

it is quite interesting. I have only used the eyeliner for a couple of times and need some more getting used to when using a new eyeliner. But so far I'm loving it. Very black and glossy and easy to make corrections.

ReplyDeletethis eyeliner is quite easy to apply and I have tried it 4 days in a row now and the staying power is very good. Happy with it.
DeleteThanks for popping by, following back :)
i'd love to try out one of those baby lips!:) do they smell fruity?
ReplyDeletelots of love xx
yes, they do have fruity scents. Not too overpowering though.
DeleteMaybelline finally came out with some tinted lip balms in Australia, except ours don't have the clear cap. Weird! I actually really want to try the Physician's Formula felt tip eyeliner pen, I've heard pretty good things about it! I do tend to prefer felt tip eyeliners as I find them a lot easier to work with that the liquid eyeliners that come in a bottle with a thin, floppy-ish wand.
ReplyDeleteinteresting that they have different packaging for the same products. The Physicians forumula felt tip eyeliner is still my favorite. When I'm in a rush, always use that one as it never fails and the application is precise. This Maybelline masterduo is nice but I still have to go over it a few times to the most even look.
DeleteOoooh! Itching to get my hands on that liner! We don't have it here yet in Manila!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! Specially the pictures because they are so detailed, clear and it really tells a lot about what you're posting :) I am now following you on GFC! The eyeliner is quite good. Staying power is good and it is very glossy. Hope you will get your hands on this soon! I know how it feels as I am in Canada and a lot of new products released in the States, we won't get them until much later. When I am impatient, willing to pay more to buy on ebay :)
DeleteThanks for visiting, following back :)
