That is the reason I LOVE mini sets. You got to try out the product in decent sized and you can decide if it is worth purchasing the full-sized afterwards.
Benefit Bronze 'N' Dandy
I have been wanting to try their Hoola bronzer for the longest time. But I have so many bronzers already and I really don't want to buy a full-sized product to sit with my other bronzers.
4 products included: Dandelion blush, Dandlion lip gloss, Hoola lip gloss and Hoola bronzer
Sephora has released a whole bunch of holiday gift set and they have this Benefit blush/bronzer set:
cheeky sweet spot box o' blushes
I was contemplating on getting this set but I have most of the products in full-sized already and the only one I really want is the Hoola so when I saw this Bronze N Dandy set, I quickly decided I should get this instead.
Another mini set I got a few weeks ago is this Tarte gift set. It was in their sale section and I believe it is sold out now.
Tarte Prime, Shine & Define To Go Set
Set includes: primer, BB cream and a mascara
I haven't cracked open this set yet but want to try their BB cream for a while.
These mini sets are perfect for trying products out and will make awesome stocking stuffers!
i really want the benefit blush set! "luckily" i don't have any of their products yet so i can totally justify it...sometime...
ReplyDeleteThe Benefit blush set is such an awesome deal. If I don't have most of them, I would definitely get the set.
DeleteI absolutely love minis for this reason too x
ReplyDeleteI sometimes wish most of the brands would make their products into mini sizes. More affordable prices and you can get to enjoy and try out more.
DeleteI'm 100% obsessed with minis - especially for expensive products that I can't afford full sizes for!!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree. I wish more brands would get mini sets, not just the holiday season.
DeleteMe too :) That Tarte set looks great. I can't wait to hear what you think about it!
ReplyDeleteWill definitely do an update once I crack open the Tarte set.
DeleteI love minis, too! Love receiving minis with the purchase. I often end up loving minis more than the full sized products. But the key word is "legit". It has to be a legit mini, not those flimsy samples. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think minis and value sets are Tarte's thing. Every year they tempt me so much!
yes, those flimsy foil samples are a no-no. I stopped getting those from Sephora as my sample drawer is full and I never tend to grab any one to try out. This time of the year my will power is so weak, always get sucked into getting more mini sets than ever.
DeleteI rarely finish full size color cosmetics (actually probably have never finished an eyeshadow or blush before! They just get old and get tossed out after awhile), so I love minis for that. Looks like great sets you picked up!
ReplyDeletesame here, I have NEVER finished any eyeshadow, blush. The most frequently-used up product is foundation. I just wish more brands will come up with mini sets.
DeleteI didn't used to think minis were worth it, but ever since I started blogging I get why they are important and why they can actually SAVE you money! I know I'm never going to finish any full size product although I am just about to finish a full size Dior Ambient blush palette ;)
ReplyDeletefull-sized products take so long to use up(well, maybe it is a good thing especially when it is super expensive :). Minis are so great. You read others' blogs and want to try the products and mini is the way to go.
Deletetrue true, more brands should release mini sizes of their makeup and perfumes
ReplyDeleteaye that cheeky sweet spot box! i wanted to get one but since i only really like hoola and rockateur i decided to just repurchase hoola separately and maybe get rockateur sometime soon. its funny cause i also thought of getting this exact mini set :)
Rockateur is my favorite Benefit blush. It is such a pretty rose gold shade. I have been using Hoola since I got this set and totally get what the hype is all about.
DeleteEeeeeek to minis (and gorgeous Benefit ones) - they are why I've bought 2 Beauty Advent Calendars this year...including the Candy Coated Countdown.
