Braised Maple is a deep red shade with orange undertone. It is such a rich color with extreme pigmentation. I am still timid in wearing deep red lip shades and this is so unique with a slight orange tone, making it more wearable for every day.
Even though it is said to be a matte creme lipstick, it has a slight sheen to it which I am so happy about. As with matte lipsticks, they tend to be more on the drying side. This formula is so creamy and glides on so smoothly and effortlessly.
The packaging has maple leaves all over.
Highly recommend lipsticks from this collection if you are looking for beautiful fall shades with a twist. The shades are very unique to me and the formula is so creamy to my pleasant surprise. Even though I have been into nude lips and gradient lips, this dark rich shade is going to be perfect for the fall.
Good choice, this color! I'm still too much in summer mode to get excited about fall collections though... Soon! Just not yet :-)
ReplyDeleteI am into nude/lighter lip shades for the summer and if this is not limited edition, I would probably hold off till the fall to get it. It is so sizzing hot these days that I can't even think of fall yet :)
Deletethis shade is PERFECT on you! and i love that they smell like maple, but i am too scared by the darker shades!
ReplyDeletethank you so much :) I am new to wearing bolder and darker lippies and this one is quite wearable. I often line my lips with a nude lip pencil and apply bolder color to tone it down a notch.
DeleteThis shade is lovely on you and really brightens your skin tone. I like how you applied it too, very cute and youthful. I'll have to check them out next time I'm in Sephora
ReplyDeletethank you so much :) I am still new to wear bolder lips. This is such a rich creamy formula which pleasantly surprises me. I thought it would be a matte, drying formula. Definitely check it out next time you're in store. I also like candied maple but banning myself from getting more :(
