ON Frost Free Quilted Jacket, Rockstar Cords

Old Navy ran a 50% off outerwear last weekend in Canada. I believe the sale is still on for U.S. I got a jacket from them 2 years ago and for the price, it held up extremely well. I throw it in the washing machine many times and the shape held up amazing. So I got another one in black this time, together with the Rockstar colored cords.

The one I got a few years back is a bit different. Same material but didn't have the fleece collar. This one is much warmer than the one I have.

The Rockstar Pop-color cords in size 8 (buy here)

My first choice of color was navy/black but of course during the sale, all the sizes were gone. I got the grey one which is relatively neutral to style. These run small so I strongly suggest size up. I wear a size 4 in Gap/Old Navy and J. Crew and have to size up to a 8 in this one. The waist is a bit loose but for skinny cords, I prefer it to be not so skin-tight on the thighs.

Overall, very pleased with my weekend purchase from Old Navy. In Canada, the jacket was originally $49 and it was 50% off which came to $24. Then an additional 15% off on the weekend, making the jacket a winning $22! What a steal!

The cords were at similar price point. They were $39.50, on sale now for $25 and I also got the extra 15% off. The cords are not the really thick kind. But they are very wearable now till probably Christmas.

  1. I live in ON Rockstars - very thin calves and ankles, and this is one of few brands that fit me correctly in that area. Checking out the puffer now - thanks for the tip!

    1. I will probably fit in a size 6(my regular ON is 4) but I am worried that my butt won't fit :( They are truly comfortable. No wonder so many people rave about those. Do you have the Rockstar jeans? Wonder if they fit similar.

    2. I do, and they have more stretch...a good thing. I always try on 3 of the same size due to sizing inconsistencies. I'm a 0 in ON bottoms and wear a 4 in all the rockstar jeans and cords.

    1. I want to try Rockstar jeans. I will probably try a different size as the 8 is really big on my waist and when it is low-rise, it slides right down. Thank you.

  5. Wow, what a bargain! Though the sizing seems strange that they run so small. Love the pants - gorgeous colour :) The jacket looks really warm and comfy too!

    1. good that I read on a few other bloggers about the sizing. Otherwise, I would have thought I have gained so much weight that I wouldn't be able to pull my regular-sized pants on haha! Yes, what a bargain! Loving Old Navy :)
