My First Target Haul in Canada

Target is opening in Ontario. They are taking over many of the Zellers locations but unfortunately the one in my town is not going to stay open. I'm still in Toronto for an extended period of time unexpectedly and I may as well take advantage of the soft openings of a few stores near my parents'.

I went to the one at Centrepoint Mall in North York this morning. Since it is not a grand opening, was not crowded at all. I wanted to try Sonia Kashuk products the most but only found brushes there and no makeup available yet. I did see the display being set up so the products will probably be stocked up later. The cosmetic section is tiny, only 2 short isles. I saw Pixi products which is new to us Canadians.

Not a very big haul. I was all geared up to get mostly makeup items and was quite disappointed about their selection and availability.

I got a couple of bath towels which I love the pattern. I have similar patterned face cloths from HomeSense so these would match really well with them. They are very soft and $12.99 each.

I was super excited to find this mason jar. I have been looking for one for a while for my morning smoothies. This is perfect as I can close the lid of the jar and still insert a straw.

Trying this Target brand cleansing cloths. I am using the Simple brand and looking for an alternative to fully remove my eye makeup.

Got this really cute top for $14.95. As I mentioned, I'm staying in town for a while and this is quite unexpected so I didn't bring a whole lot of clothing with me. Need some basic tees and tops for layering and this is just what I need. The other one in the first picture is just a basic v-neck black tee.

I probably won't be going back to another Target until their grand opening. Their shelves are stocked maybe 65-75% and I would love to go check it out when it is fully-stocked.

Are you a Target shopper? If you're Canadian, are you excited for an alternative to Walmart?

  3. I kinda like that smoothie idea! I love the idea of smoothies for breakfast, but I've been getting bored of it lately.

    1. I am really enjoying having a healthy smoothie in the morning. I, too, get into cycles of things. Once I'm bored, will switch it up and go back to it later.

    1. yes, there are some stores open in Ontario already but the official grand opening is not until April. I find the selection not overly-exciting, to my disappointment. But maybe it's just the soft opening and the shelves are not fully-stocked yet. Prices are ok, very similar to Walmart.

    1. I just wish Target here is the same as U.S. Seems you guys got a lot more selection than our stores here.

  6. The towels look lovely :) I didnt see the makeup cloths but I would have wanted to pick those up too. I just did some impulse buying some of which I realize needs to go back heh. At least the prices are comparable to Walmarts!
