September Empties

Fall is here and even though the weather is still very nice and relatively warm, leaves are changing color. I am not big into fall as I hate cold and damp weather :(

I am starting to get a hang of collecting my empties and this month, it is a combination of scented candles and mostly skincare. I find it hard to use up any makeup products as I have so many to go through.

Bath & Body Works London Calling, Strawberry Picnic and Sangria Rose Candles

I love burning candles and used up a few of my favorite summer candles from Bath and Body Works. Sorry I didn't stock up more on these and hopefully these or similar scented candles will release next spring or summer. London Calling is a beautiful scent of a mixture of tea and lemon. Strawberry Picnic is a refreshing scent of strawberries and cream. Not too sweet scented. Sangria Rose is quite sweet-scented and maybe too overpowering at times.

I love Strawberries & milkshake shower gel, La Roche Posay Anthelios Suncreen, Fortune Cookie Cupcake Whipped Cream

I got the strawberries and milkshake shower gel from Shoppers Drug Mart a while back and since I alternate between so many bath and shower products, it took a while for me to finally use it up. I love strawberry-scented products and this one is ok. Nothing too extraordinary or moisturizing. So won't be repurchasing again.

La Roche Posay Anthelios sunscreen is a must-have for me in my everyday skincare routine. This must be my third or fourth bottle that I used up. Very fluid and lightweight. I have normal combination skin and I used to hate applying sunscreen due to its stickiness. But this one changed my daily routine. It is so lightweight and does not grease me up. I apply this year-around.

Fortune Cookie Whipped Cream has to be one of my favorite products. I got a few of these deluxe sample sizes in a variety pack so I can sample different seasonal scents. Very moisturizing but not too sticky. Perfect for summer.

Vichy Purete Thermale Refreshing Toner, Lush Tea Tree Water & Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask

I have been using the Vichy Thermale refreshing toner for a year or two. It does not dry my skin out. I skipped using toner for a long time before but realized how important a toner is for everyday skincare routine. It removes makeup residue even after you cleanse your face. This must be the fifth bottle I have used up. I like this one but have bought the Origins toner to switch things up for a change.

Lush Tea Tree Water is an additional toner I apply when I feel my skin is starting to breakout. This toner is absolutely amazing. Helps my skin with blemishes and very refreshing. Repurchased already.

Last but not least is my favorite fresh face mask from Lush. I use up at least one of two of these monthly. I don't live near a Lush store so I stock up on a few every time I visit a Lush store. I place them in the freezer and I will take one out and let it sit at room temperature for a while before I use it.

  1. Right now here in Toronto fall has been beautiful, it is my favorite season. Today it is warm, sunny and we have blue cloudless skies. The leafs are just starting to change color and it is beautiful. We actually have a big barbecue going on for the entire street and there is music, food and ice cream trucks. But when winter comes along and we get the snow and the never ending cold it can be a bit much. You reminded me that I need to get some candles for Thanksgiving. I love the Bath and Body Works fall candles.

    1. yes, same exact gorgeous weather here for the past week. Absolutely beautiful. Wish fall will stick around for a bit before first snowfall. The new fall candles from Bath and Body Works don't excite me that much. Seems like they were very similar from last fall.

    1. I read that you can make your own tea tree water for a fraction of the store-bought ones. I will have to look into that and save myself some $ :)
