September Favorites

Have a few new products in this month's favorites. When you try out so many new beauty and hair products each month, it is a hit and miss. Excited to share some new finds with you guys.

Lush Big Sea Salt Shampoo

This is the first hair product from Lush that I got. I tried out a sample first before I buy the big tub from the Lush UK website(it is much cheaper to buy there compared to the North American website). This is a sea salt shampoo. Has chunks of salt in the tub. You will be amazed how well it lather up with a tiny amount. I have oily hair and find this shampoo perfect to cleanse my hair well and gives extra body. I use this mostly for my roots as I find if I use it all over my hair, would dry the ends out. I also recommend to use this only once a week to avoid over-cleanse your hair and dry them out.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder
Nars Ita Brush(here)

Have this Too Faced bronzer for a while and just rediscovered it. The chocolate scent is just too delicious to pass up. Got this Nars Ita contour brush last month. Yes, it is pricey but I find it extremely easy to use this brush for contouring. Makes the contouring a breeze. One stroke and some wiggling is all it takes to do the job.

Tarte Glamour-pure performance 12 hour lipstick(Inspired)
Dior Lip Addict Glow

This Tarte has to be one of my favorite lippies from the Sephora Give Me More Lip set(see my previous post for swatches). Very long-lasting and the mauve-pink shade is just perfect.

The Dior Lip Addict Glow is my everyday balm but better lip product. Whenever I want to go for the nude lip, this is what I grab.

Le Blush Creme De Chanel in 62 Presage

This highly-pigmented cream blush from Chanel is awesome. You only need a tiny tiny bit. A little goes a long way. This is a cream to powder finish and I find the lasting power amazing as well.

Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser
ELF Makeup Mist & Set

I can't believe I spent $20 on a bar of soap to clean my beauty blender and brushes. But I am so glad I did. This is no ordinary soap. I have used a few brands of brush cleanser but somehow do not clean my brushes thoroughly. I use a beauty sponge to apply my under eye concealer and it is very hard to clean the sponge completely. But a few rubs of the sponge onto this beauty blender solid cleanser, it removes all the residue.

The ELF makeup mist and set is a much more affordable alternative to Urban Decay's All-Nighter Makeup spray. It sets my makeup helps it stay all day long, even on hot and humid days in the summer.

What are some beauty products you have tried this month love? Share in the comment below and would love to read what you guys recommend.

  2. I have the ELF spray too and it seems nice :) The UK Lush is so much cheaper, it's ridiculous, great call getting a sample in store first though :)

  4. Can't say I've tried any of these products.
I'm trying to remember what I tried recently that's a new favourite, but nothing comes to mind. With my oily skin I find it hard to find good products.
Oh, I did get the Brazil Nut body butter from The Body Shop, it smells SO YUMMY!

  6. I've never seen that brush from NARS - how intriguing! What a unique shape. The soap sounds amazing - sometimes it's worth it to fork out a bit extra for an item that just makes your life easier and works. I was eyeing the Chanel blushes when I was at Changi airport - so tempted (I was tossing up between Inspiration and Affinite). I kind of regret not picking one up when I had the chance as they are $70 here in Australia which is daylight robbery.
