MAC RiRi Bad Girl Gone Good Blush

MAC has just released their newest collection: the highly-anticipated collaboration collection with Rihanna. They released a small collection in June this year(see my previous post). But the new collection is much bigger and the packaging is to die for.

The on-line release was Sep 30(Monday) at 12pm EST. Once again, I was sitting patiently by my laptop ready to place my order. If you haven't "experienced" one of MAC's latest online purchase, you are one of the lucky ones. Whenever there is an extremely popular collection to be released, MAC has a collection release date and time. You would be put in a waiting room before you could even view the whole collection. Of course, I was online starting at 11:55am. An hour later, I was still in the waiting room. Once I was the waiting room, I could view the collection but had problem putting products in my cart. What a bummer! Another hour passed by, I had 4 attempts to shop but since the traffic was crazy, I got bummed out due to gateway timeout. At one attempt, I was able to place my order. But when I checked out, it said product was sold out. I was so frustrated but since I only wanted one product from the whole collection, I would live if I don't get my order in. Total of 2 hours later, I decided to try my luck in phoning in. Surprisingly, I got in rather quickly(to be exact, 3 minutes later) and the friendly sales associate told me the blush I wanted was still available.

Bad Girl Gone Good Blush

This is the only product I wanted from this collection. The rose gold packaging is the cutest I have seen from MAC so far

It is your standard size of blush with a gold rim. Top of the compact is transparent with Rihanna's signature on it.

Bad Girl Gone Good is a satin finish blush. It is on the warmer side. I don't have anything quite like this in my blush collection and I am so excited for it. On the website, it looks like a coral color. But in real life, it is more of a warm coral with brownish undertone.

This blush may not be suitable for all skin tone as it can look orange. I am currently a NC 30-35 now with the summer tan and I really like how it shows up on my cheeks. I would say if you have more pale skin tone, this one may not look too good. I have medium skin tone with yellow undertone and I find coral and warmer blushes show up better on me.

Here is another picture taken in a different lighting. This blush is very pigmented, just like other MAC blushes. You only need a tiny bit.

The RiRi collection was available at MAC stores Sep 26 and will be released in stores tomorrow(Oct 3). Most of the products from this collection were sold out within hours of release online. If you are planning to get anything, tomorrow is the day. Are you planning to grab anything?

    1. it is so different from the color seen on the MAC website. I'm so glad I got it. It is a much warmer tone of blush that I usually apply and I'm loving it. Thank you!

    1. The lippies are so gorgeous. Nude looks like a very nice neutral color. Definitely check out the collection. But I would go sooner than later as I heard they are very limited quantities.
