November Empties

We just had our first major snowfall this season. It sure does feel more like Christmas is fast approaching.

This month, I managed to use up quite a few products. A few are deluxe sample sizes. I really enjoy trying out products in these sizes rather than those one-time-use package as you can't tell what the product does for you at all with one use.

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Cream
Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
EOS Berry Blossom Hand Cream
Pacifica Blood Orange Body Wash

I have frizzy hair and love this John Frieda flawless finishing cream. Keep my hair frizz-free and silky smooth. Best part is I grabbed this from Dollarama for only $2. Don't think this product is still available or not as I don't seem to find it. Maybe it is in a different packaging.

Macadamia deep hair repair masque is a very nice hair treatment product. It is pricey but I have this for a long time. I have switched up to a much more affordable alternative, the L'Oreal Repair 5 mask and so far I find very similar effect on my hair and it only cost $3.99, compared to $33 with the Macadamia brand.

EOS berry blossom hand cream has been my all-time favorite hand cream. I just love the scent. Have re-purchased another one already.

Pacifica Blood Orange Body Wash is a very nice scented body wash. Not necessarily very moisturizing and I'm glad I got the travel-sized one as I get bored of body wash scents fast and like to switch things up regularly.

Simple Makeup Wipes
Origins Frothy Face Wash
Elizabeth Arden Eye Makeup Remover
Bioderma Sebium Matt

I have been using the Target brand makeup wipes for a while and I'm out of them and got the Simple brand. Forget how much I enjoy using it.

Origins Frothy Face Wash is a very gentle face wash. Doesn't leave my skin dry after wash. You only need a pea-size amount and it froth up quite nice. In fact, I find it a bit too frothy. Don't enjoy it so much when I'm using this with my Clarisonic and deep cleanse my nose and bubbles in my nostrils :(

Elizabeth Arden Eye Makeup Remover is one of the products from my Elizabeth Arden prive box from Topbox. It is quite effective in removing my eye makeup. Not greasy and doesn't burn my eyes. I don't know if I will pick this up in full-sized though as it is quite pricey.

Bioderma Sebium Matt has become my new favorite. It keep my skin matte but yet moisturized all day. It is light in texture.

Clinique Acne Spot Treatment Gel
Dermaglow Anti-Age Eye Treatment
Becca Ever Matte Poreless Primer
ELF Makeup Remover Pen
Maybelline Falsies Volume Express Waterproof Mascara

Have purchased Clinique Acne Spot Treatment Gel in full-sized after I use the deluxe sample size up(got it from redeeming 100 Beauty Insider Points from Sephora). It is very effective in dealing with my occasional break-outs. It is a bit strong though so you only need a tiny bit. You can feel the tingling and drying properties almost immediately.

Also got the Becca Ever Matte Poreless Primer in deluxe sample size from Sephora. The texture is very silicon-ey and I only apply this on my t-zone to keep matte. As far as minimizing pores, it is not quite as impressive as my favorite Benefit Pore-Professional.

I am an eye cream junkie and Dermaglow Anti-Age Eye Treatment is quite nice but like a lot of other eye creams I have tried and used, does not impress me in terms of moisturizing effect and other anti-aging properties.

ELF Makeup Remover Pen and Maybelline Falsies Waterproof Mascara are my staples and I have re-purchased both already. I use the ELF makeup remover pen mainly to clean up mascara smudges. These dry out quite fast though. Maybelline Falsies mascara is my all-time favorite mascara and find that is the only brand that would keep my pathetic lashes curls up all day. I would cry out loud if they ever discontinue this.

Sorry for such a long post as there are a lot of products I used up this month and I like to give mini reviews on these just in case any of you would like to try them out yourselves.

  1. don't apologize for the post, I think it's incredibly useful and that's awesome how many products you finished up this month! I definitely didn't finish as many, but got a decent amount done and I'll definitely be reviewing them in the next week :) I'll have to check out my dollarama for John Fredia, that's awesome

    1. you're so sweet :) I really made a commitment to finish up products before I open up a new product to try. In the past I opened so many and never manage to use up any and ended up wasting a lot of products. Can't wait to see your empties and review.

    1. such a feeling of "accomplishment" to use up products :) Since I love the L'Oreal hair mask, I may try other products from the line as it's so much more affordable.

    1. thank you so much, very sweet of you to say that. I love trying out new products and I find those one-time use packages(the samples from Sephora) don't do much for me as I can never tell if I like the product enough to buy full-sized ones with a single use. Can't wait to see what you have used up this month.
