Current Favorite Summer Face Makeup

Solei tan de Chanel bronzer
Chanel Les Beiges Multi-Color Glowing Powder
MAC Pearlmatte Face Powder(limited edition 2013)
Stila Illuminating Beauty Balm
It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Illumination
Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush

These products have been my go-to products for the summer. It is all about minimal makeup with a healthy glow.

Stila Illuminating Beauty Balm has been the most grabbed product. It gives light coverage and I find it works better as a primer unless you are lucky enough to have gorgeous skin which needs no to light coverage. I top that off with It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Illumination. It sets everything in place and gives your skin the healthiest glow and still provide enough coverage.

Since I have been applying sunscreen religiously all year round and I need bronzer to warm up my complexion. Solei tan de Chanel  has been in my collection for a couple of years and I used it so much but still looks like I haven't put a dent in it. So if you are on the fence about getting this, get this, this will last you forever. Chanel Les Beiges Multi Color Glowing Powder is a limited edition product from last summer I believe. I swirl all three shades and just apply all over my face to give a nice bronze summer look.

Another limited edition product is from MAC Pearlmatte Face Powder. This is from their limited collection from 2013. Sometimes when you love a product so much, hate it when it is limited edition and you can't get it anymore. This is not shimmery and doesn't emphasize pores. Gives your cheekbones a natural glow.

Last product is my current obsession: Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush. I got this in early May and I have been applying this non-stop every single day. Sometimes I just wish I would just stop and start using other blushes but I just love this too much.

What are your go-to products for summer face makeup?

  1. Ooh I have yet to purchase a Chanel product, but I did get tanned this summer so maybe next time I get paler again...right now I'm loving the Nars liquid illuminators under my base for a nice glow.

    1. I haven't had much luck with liquid illuminator and next time I am in Sephora, will remember to try the Nars. I have tried the Benefit, Josie Maran and Becca but I find them quite hard to blend out evenly.

    2. I actually put the illuminator under my base rather than over and it's easier to blend that way. So I moisturize/sunscreen, then I slap on the illuminator on my cheekbones/temples (I don't blend too carefully here), then I put on my foundation/BB cream, which I blend out carefully all over and by that point the illuminator is nicely blended in and peaks out from underneath my base.

    3. I am definitely going to try applying it that way today. Great tip!

    1. yes, that is my favorite subtle highlighter. I will be so bummed when I hit pan. But I am sure MAC has something similar.

  4. My current sunscreen is failing me and the new Japanese one I ordered isn't here yet, so no base makeup is working out for me. I recently bought the NARS soft velvet powder and I like this quite a bit, though. :)

    1. I keep saying I would switch up my sunscreen but La Roche Posay is my all time favorite and I am too timid to try others :) Hope your new one will suit you well.

    1. The MAC aquatic collection is one of my favorite. I was lucky to get my hands on the bronzer and a lipstick. The packaging is to die for.
