Best penny spent ever - Julep Maven Box

I just received my first ever Julep Maven Box in the mail. Considering I just signed on for the introductory offer (1 penny for the first Julep Maven Box, click here and enter code PENNY at checkout), 10 days later, I got my box already. Very impressed. I thought I would not get the April box.

For those of you who are not familiar with Julep Maven Box, it is a monthly subscription service. You pay $19.99 (plus tax, I believe) a month and will get $40 worth of nail polish and other beauty products. You can cancel the service any time or if you don't like that month's products, you can skip that month or sent the box to a friend of yours.

All you have to do is to sign up and you can fill out a brief survey. From the survey, they will suggest which box you should get. On every 20th of the month, you will receive an email indicating what products will be sent to you according to your profile (box chosen for the previous month). For example, I signed up for " Classic with a Twist" in March and when I got the email this morning, it was some foot scrub lotion which I am not very fond of. So I switched to "American Girl" to get my choices of nail polish.

I like this option better than other beauty product subscription service. This way, I know exactly what I'm getting instead of some products I would never use.

The package is sent from Seattle and it only takes 5-7 business days to arrive.

Inside, comes with the box you chose. Mine this month is Classic with a Twist and an information card of all the products you are getting.

Nicely packaged. I love the hot pink paper bag.

Here is what I get for this month:

Julep Facial For Hands Glycolic Hand Scrub
Anne Julep Nail Vernis
Kelly Julep Nail Vernis
and a Julep nail file

They are 0.27 oz sized nail polish. If you get these at Sephora, it will be $14 each.

I'm excited to try this Facial for Hand scrub. Rough winter, dry skin.

This is by far, one of the most incredible boxes I got from monthly subscription service. I know I will use every single product in the box. Not to mention the introductory box only cost me $0.01, shipping and tax included. What an awesome deal!!

  1. Awesome Post! I just signed up for Julep Maven too! I was a little late to the game so I won't get my first box until May (I think?). Did you have problems with the shipping? I ordered the mystery box which supposedly shipped a while ago but the shipping confirmation was a little funky looking... :P
I really love that purple. Is it very deep? Either way, it looks simple delightful.

    1. I signed up on Apr 10 and I got the box today. I didn't order the mystery box but was so tempted to. I don't have any problem with the shipping. They sent me the shipping confirmation and you're right, it does look funky but it got here today. That's all that matters :)

I haven't tried the nail polish yet. It looks deep but will have to see what it looks like on nails. I'm so excited to try.

  2. It sounds like a great beauty box, too bad the ones in australia dont let you know what you get until you open it up. I find a lot of the boxes in aus tell you to fill in the survey but they end up sending everyone the same box. Anyway thanks for the follow hun, ive followed you back! =)

    1. My other one, LuxeBox, doesn't allow me to pick what I want either. They would give you a choice of stuff you prefer and you pick. But always end up not getting what I want anyway. So I like this better as for nail polish, I only wear certain colors and I don't want to waste the rest.

Thanks for dropping by and following back. Very sweet of you :)

  3. This sounds great, I wish we had something like it in Australia! As far as I know, we don't have any nail polish subscription services. How sad :(

    1. Me neither. I have seen this brand at Sephora before but for $14, it's very pricey for a little bottle. Now I can try and see if I like it. Think will keep the subscription for a few months to test it out.

    1. it's a great way to try the products for this price. I am loving it and will keep the subscription for a few months to test it out. Love it especially you have the choice of selecting what you like beforehand. For nail polish, I only wear certain colors and hate for them to go to waste.

    1. isn't it an awesome deal? I think I will keep the subscription for a few months to test it out. I love the fact that you can pick your box every month, instead of the " surprise" ones. Most of the time, I don't like what I'm getting in the surprise boxes. This way, for sure, I can use all of the nail polish.

    1. It's a great deal. I have seen Julep products before but never tried it. I have seen it at Sephora and it is $14 for just one nail polish so this is such a steal. I will keep the subscription as I am loving my new nail polish.
