Thanks to Canadian Beauty Reviews, I am convinced that e.l.f. shipping and delivery to Canada is pretty good so gave me the green light to place my first order.
I have my eyes set on a few must-try products from e.l.f. (thanks to Lenallure). She has great and detailed reviews of a lot of beauty products.
So here is what I got:
Canadian Beauty Reviews gave me a great tip of placing an order under $20 so I don't have to pay duty on my order. e.l.f products are very reasonably-priced but the shipping cost can be pricey to Canada. I managed to place the order when they were doing the 50% off promotion and I found a discount code for shipping so making this order under $20 with the shipping.
The powder is very silky. Can't wait to try it.
Matifying Powder
I have oily skin and always in need of powder mid way through the day. This is a very nice color, a hint of pink, which I think would suit my skin tone. I have bought compact powder before with very yellowish undertone. Not the most complimentary color on me.
Contouring Blush and Bronze Powder
I like the soft pink blush color but the bronze powder looks different from the picture shown on the webiste. It is a little bit darker than I thought. Haven't tried it yet so will review it after.
High Definition Powder
I was contemplating between getting this in translucent(clear) or this (shimmer). At the end, decided to go with shimmer. It is a very light pink powder with a hint of shimmer. I was worried that it would have a lot of shimmer but it is very subtle. I tried it today and you can only see a hint of shimmer when I was applying it. Very smooth powder. I only put on BB cream today. Will yet have to try with foundation and see if the pink tone would alter color on it.
Overall, very pleased with my order. I placed the order and received it within a week. I wanted to try their essential blending blush but they were out of stock(so bought it from ebay). Still a few other things I want to try out and will definitely continue to buy from them online.
