J. Crew MacAlister High Heel Boot lookalike

When I saw fellow blogger, Ina post about her J. Crew MacAlister high heel boot lookalike, I was on a mission to find my alternative to the fabulous boots. Just when I started my search, of course, J. Crew has to tempt me with the extra 30% off final sale promo(use code OURTREAT).

Currently on sale for CDN $184, with the 30% off, it comes to $128.80

I wasn't too crazy about it being suede as we get a lot of snow here and the salt gets really nasty on suede even if I pre-treated the boots with protector. 

Was browsing on the Gap website and came across these:

Regular priced at CDN $99.95. They are running a promo until Thursday for 30% off, making this $70

Doesnt' these look exactly like the J. Crew ones? I was so excited. Yes, I know, the quality won't be nearly the same. But it is almost half price of the real deal. And it says it is 100% leather, making life much easier for me. I ordered half size up as they don't come in half sizes.

    They do look very similar! It's always a bit of a thrill to find a cheaper alternative to something you've been eyeing :) Hope the sizing is right!

      exactly. It is indeed a great thrill to find something so similar but half the price. I don't have high hopes for these as I know Gap shoes quality. But the price is right and I'm willing to try. Best thing is Gap has really easy return policy here .

      I size up to 8 (my usual is 7.5) so size should be ok. Only thing is they didn't specify the heel height of these boots. I'm a big klutz when it comes to heels. Thanks for the inspiration and looking forward to getting my new boots soon!

      whenever J. Crew is running a promo, I tend to get up really early to check popbacks. Yes it is a sickness. Fingers not working properly first thing in the morning sometimes haha!

    My sister is obsessed with JCrew too lol I know how you feel. And so glad I saw this post, I tried DSW for a similar style and they had nothing even close! So I will definitely check them out my GAP. I wonder how comfy they'd be for lots of walking hmm..

      they look extremely close in pictures but I'm sure the J. Crew version is much better made. But half the price, I'm willing to give the Gap ones a try :)

    I noticed these dupes as well! I rotate out a lot of my boots yearly, so the Gap ones are better buys for me if I'll potentially only get 12-20 wears from them. They're having a 30% off sale too, so these are a steal!!

      Love finding dupes at a much better price. yes, I know, they won't be even be close to J. Crew quality but I'm willing to give them a try :)
