Seems I have a pattern in buying lipsticks. Once I find a formula I love, I would buy multiples from the collection. I have 3 of the Maybellien Buff lipsticks and they released a limited edition of 4 new ones and I got 2 of them.

The packaging is the same as the permanent line.
Only difference is they put stickers of limited edition on.

Barely Bronze is a very pretty rose gold/bronze with shimmer. I don't usually like shimmer/frost finish lippies but when applied, it is not as shimmery as it is shown on skin.
Barely Bronze
Nude Embrace is a mauve pink shade with sheen finish. It swatches quite dark on skin but when applied, it is not. It is "just your lips but better" shade.

The other 2 shades are Ravishing Rose which is a very pink with shimmer and Raw Reveal is a tan/brownish tone with shimmer.
I am really loving the nudes lipsticks for the spring. I love the Maybelline Color Sensational formula as they are very creamy and easy to apply. They don't dry out my lips and seem to last a good few hours. Check out my other shades from this collection in this post.
Are you a fan of nude lipstick? What is your favorite?
I think it absolutely makes sense. As easy as it sounds, finding a right lippie formula is difficult!
ReplyDeleteWhich is why I ended up with 7 shades with L'Oreal Wet Shine Stains. LOL.
I'm more into bright colored lippies but a good nude is a must. I like my GA 103. ;)
My last "multiple-hoarding" lipsticks was the Revlon Lip Butter and I can't recall how many I got in total. This is my second and I like the formula even better as these are not as sheer as the Lip Butter. I wish I could rock bright colored lippies as pretty as you :)
DeleteBoth shades look beautiful on you! I do the same thing with lipsticks, sweaters, shoes....if you find something you like and it comes in multiple colors...why not?
ReplyDeletethank you so much, so sweet of you :) With tees and sweaters, I like to buy in multiple colors as I wear one so much, why not get another color?
DeleteThose shades look great on you, I tend to stay clear of nudes and go for brighter shades but sometimes you do need a good nude lippy.

I seem to go for colour first with one eye on the formula or texture when it comes to choosing a lipstick. But I do tend to have more than one from a collection I like too. I'm not too sure if I'm a fan of nude lipsticks or not. I used to reach for them more often but now I try to mix it up a bit because I've been accused of looking pale and lack of colour :D.
ReplyDeleteI really need to give drugstore lipsticks another try! I hate when they have the waxy smell! I like the nude embrace on you.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a giveaway right now on my blog! Would love for you to enter.

These look great on you! I usually go for pink shades cause I find nudes wash me out. Maybe I just never found the right shade for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan at all of mauve lippies, but the Barely Bronze doesn't look bad on you!
