Sunday Wishlist

Sunday Wishlist

Charlotte Tilbury is finally here in Canada. I have been hearing lots of raved reviews about the brand. It is now available at Holt Renfrew in Toronto and Vancouver. I haven't had the opportunity to pay a visit to swatch the products in person yet. This month, the website is offering free shipping to Canadians, making the deal much sweeter. Also on my wishlist is the new Becca skin perfector  Champagne pop, created together with youtuber, Jaclyn Hill.

What is on your current wishlist?

What I Bought Lately

What I Bought Lately

I have been doing a bit of makeup organization and I have got rid of some unused products and made room for more. Don't know if it is a healthy habit or not :(

Everybody is raving about their Lorac Pro 2 palette and sadly Sephora doesn't carry Lorac anymore and it is a challenge to find Lorac products online. The more I compare the Pro and Pro 2 palette, the more I am convinced I am leaning towards the original palette. Think the warmer shades would suit me more. I got mine from Amazon.com and compared to crazy prices on ebay, it is a pretty decent deal.

Another product which everybody is raving about is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I went to Sephora to swatch a few times and finally decided on the shade custard.

When I was at my numerous trips to Sephora when I was in Toronto last month, I couldn't find any Becca counters. I love their Beach Tint Souffle so much that I want to try other products from the brand. Did an online order and decided on the Becca Shimmering Perfector in Pressed powder in Rose Gold. It was a limited edition from last fall and glad they decided to make it a permanent product.

I need a pressed powder to "house" in my purse for mid-day touch up. I have the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder currently but it doesn't have a mirror and I need to bring a small kabuki brush along. So I thought it is handy to get the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer Powder.

Clinique has released its new Smart Custom Repair Serum. I have faith in Clinique products and got a deluxe sample of this with my Sephora order.

What have you bought lately?

Prettiest Glowing Blush Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle Lychee

Love glowing dewy look for summer. When I see Becca has released a new beach tint shimmer souffle, I knew I need it in my life.

There are 6 shades available and it is so hard to choose. I finally decided on Lychee/Opal which is an unusual shade for me. But I want to have a brighter pink shade on my cheeks which actually would show up on my skin tone. I have other pink blushes but usually with my NC30-35, it barely show up.

Lychee/Opal is described as bubblegum pink infused with golden opal. It has the most interesting texture. It is exactly soft and bouncy as the name souffle suggests.

Don't let the bright bubblegum pink shade scare you. When it is applied, it is nothing like that.

When it is swatched, it is more like a peachy-pink with the golden shimmer infused in it.

The Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle is described as:
A pop of luminescent colour in an air-whipped cheek souffle. Water-resistant and oil-free, it provides effortlessly buildable color with a soft, lustrous finish, infused with skin-soothing, redness-reducing brown algae, this formula hydrates and revives dull skin for a youthful glow.

This is very comparable to my other favorite blush, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush. This has a bit more shimmer than the Hourglass one. As the golden opal is quite dominant in the pot, you really need to use a light hand. I find the best way to apply is to use a small stippling brush.

Here is a comparison of lychee/opal with similar blushes in my collection.

I am totally in love with this new blush. It gives my cheeks the prettiest glow and the lasting power is very impressive. Perfect for hot weather as it doesn't seem to fade off throughout the day.

Highly recommend this blush if you are looking for a luminescent one and water-resistant. It would be great when you spend a lot of time outdoor and even to the pool.
