J. Crew No.2 pencil skirt in deck stripe

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Weather here in southern/eastern Ontario was once again hit by a heat wave. So hot and humid.

Was in Toronto for the past few days. Our niece and nephew are visiting and brought them to the city. Our niece is a teenager so she loves shopping. Very easy to shop with her and we had a great time.

Went to Yorkdale and of course had to check out the in-store sale at J. Crew. I am pleasantly surprised that the sale section is still huge and lots of new addition since the last time I visited a few weeks ago. I grabbed a few of the vintage cotton tee that I love but sold out online. There were lots of sizes left in store. So if you're looking for a good vintage cotton tee, make sure to go to your stores for more selection.

Besides the tee, I grabbed the No. 2 pencil skirt in deck stripe to try on(sorry about the overloading it with stripes again. Yes, I wore my favorite gondola top!)

I love this pencil skirt. I know a lot of people are raving about the No.2 pencil skirt. But I feel the solid colors are nice but too formal for me to wear. The deck stripe comes in 2 colors and I like this tangerine color as I can dress this up or down.

The fabric is not as stiff as the other No.2 pencil skirt. So I think it will not be as wrinkly as the other ones.

This is one of the stripes tees I got. It was so hot in the city that I wore tees and shorts the whole time I was in town. It was such a good price. Think it came to $17 with the extra 30% off.

In case you don't know, J. Crew is offering a 40% off sale items(unfortunately it is a final sale) using code OURTREAT. I don't see a whole lot of new additions this morning but of course will keep checking for popbacks.

  1. I just ordered the deck stripe in orange (great minds think alike, right?) and want to style it with my chambray shirt and a snazzy necklace. :)

  2. The skirt looks great on you! Was it on sale? It's still FP on-line and I don't live near a B&M.

    1. thank you! I like the fabric of the skirt as it doesn't seem as wrinkly as the serge cotton ones. Same here, nothing too tempting me with the sale online. Hoping for nice popbacks!

  5. Cute skirt! I've been flipping through my J. Crew catalogs but haven't been inspired. Their stylists put together combinations that I just don't get. I guess I really need to hit the B&M and pull some looks together for myself.

BTW I saw that you followed me from the Beauty Bloggers Blog Hop, so backatcha, lady!

    1. I agree with you. Sometimes stylists put too much together and it's hard to imagine how we would wear that on a daily basis. J. Crew has many adorable pieces. Do check it out!

Thanks for following back, very sweet of you :)

    1. I have always wanted to try the pencil skirt from J. Crew. The serge cotton ones look like they wrinkle very easily. This stripe one, on the other hand, seems much easier to care for. As you can tell, I'm very lazy and hate ironing!
