MAC Extra Dimension Definitely Defined

Cannot tell you how excited I am to receive my MAC order. MAC released their Extra Dimension collection online 2 weeks ago(one week before in stores) and the one product that I wanted the most is the Skinfinish. The shade I want is Definitely Defined, which is a silvery pink with soft rose shimmer. 

 

As I have mentioned in my previous post on the review on the Extra Dimension blush in bareness, the texture of these products is very interesting. It is not powder and it is not cream. It is somewhere in between. With the blush, I find it you have to swirl on the product a few more times to break down the top layer and once the top layer is gone, it is much better and easier to get the product out and apply easier on your skin.

Such a gorgeous combination of colors. Lighter shade has a more silvery pink finish. The darker shade is more rosy.

When the 2 shades are blended together, it gives the most beautiful rose gold shade. Quite shimmery so I would use it with a light hand and sweep on top of my cheekbones.

Here is what it looks on my cheeks( I have MAC Extra Dimension blush Flaming Chic on as well which I will do a post on later). I did not apply a lot, just on top of my cheekbones as a highlight but you can see that it gives a nice glow. I just got it so I will have to play with it some more. I also want to use the darker shade as my blush and the lighter shade as a highlighter.

Have been on a blush shopping spree. When I was visiting home in Toronto and had an extended stay, I found myself running out to find and discover blushes.

MAC Mineralize Blush in gentle has been my absolute favorite for the last couple of weeks. I love it to death. Really, I haven't had such an amazing blush which gives me the most natural flushed cheek look.   Then went back to get another mineralize blush in warm soul which is a more earth-toned blush. 

I was surprised to find Milani cosmetics at Loblaws near my parents' house. I have got Milani products before but through ebay or Well.ca. Have heard a lot of good reviews about this baked blush. The one I wanted to get was out of stock. It was the Rose d'oro. It was supposed to be a dupe for MAC mineralize skinfinish in Stereo Rose(limited edition and is of course sold out long time ago). The one I got is Berry Amore which is shade lighter than Rose D'oro. Pigmentation is still very nice. More of a coral pink. Have a bit of golden sheen but not noticeable on skin.

This is just one swipe of the blush. Very happy with the pigmentation. You only need a little to go a long way.

Just as I thought my blush hoarding is done for now, MAC is releasing the new Extra Dimension collection. 

It is such an interesting texture of the blushes. It is like a part gel, part cream finish. I ordered Bareness online. It is the middle blush on the top row of the picture shown above. It is a very sheer blush which I am hoping for layering for a more natural look. 

Skinfinish is going to be released in 3 shades. All look gorgeous. Since I don't have a MAC or the Bay near me(I'm back at home) so will have to stalk online to grab one of these beauties once it is available.
