April Favorites

I have a few new products included in this month's favorites. I have been buying quite a few new lip products and have been enjoying them. Those are colors which I tend to stay away from but surprised myself by how much I like the shades on my lips.

2 skin care products:It Cosmetics Feel the Moment Anti-Aging Ultra Hydrating Sensory Awakening Primer Serum and Kiehl's Eye Alert. I use the It Cosmetics serum as a serum but not as a primer. It has a dropper and the serum is quite thick in consistency. I apply this in the morning after I wash my face with a gentle cleanser. Since the serum is thick, I let it sit for a minute or two to get absorbed into my skin. It is very hydrating. It does has a light scent which smell like ginger to me but it doesn't linger on. Kiehl's Eye Alert is my newest eye cream. For mornings which my eyes feel tired and puffy, this cream really helps to wake up my eyes.

L'oreal Magic Lumi Primer is my new favorite primer. See post for my review. It gives such a pretty luminous glow to my skin and not make my face greasy or oily at all.

2 lip products: Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayon in Nudist and IOPE Water Fit lipstick in #44 Forever Pink. Have been dying to try out this highly-raved Soap & Glory Gloss Crayon for the longest time and finally it is available at my Shoppers Drug Mart. I picked Nudist which is a pretty nude pink. It is so easy to apply and I like to throw that in my purse for a quick touch up during the day. Lipstick which I have been obsessed since the day I got it and wearing it non-stop is my IOPE water fit lipstick in Forever Pink. See my post for swatches and how it looks on my lips. Excellent formula and the shade is so pretty. I have yet to try other shades in this collection but so far have no luck finding it in stores in Toronto yet. I have been to a few Asian malls in Toronto and one store Amore does carry IOPE products but they don't have the water fit lipsticks.

Last 2 products have been in my daily makeup routine for a while and absolutely cannot live without them now: L'oreal Shocking Extensions Mascara(waterproof) and Lioele Auto Eyebrow in #1. As I have mentioned in many of my previous posts, I have stubborn Asian lashes which are hard to hold up curls and only waterproof formula would do. I have tried quite a few waterproof mascara but even some are too wet for my lashes. The L'oreal Shocking Extensions Mascara gives my lashes a significant lift and hold my curls. As the name suggests, it does give my lashes extensions, making them longer.

Lioele Auto Eyebrow is such a great eye brow product. I got mine from Ebay for such an affordable price. It has a slant/angled tip which makes shaping eyebrows a breeze. I got it in shade #1 which is a soft brown. May not show the color in the picture above as this one has been used so much. Highly recommend this one if you are looking for an affordable eyebrow product.

Have you tried any of these products and what are your favorites this month?

  1. Thanks for sharing!
I've added a couple new (and affordable) products to my skincare regimen and I've been quite happy (too soon to tell, but I think they work!) - so a couple favorites of mine there.
The eyebrow pencil sounds very interesting. I am on a hunt for good brow things. I've just ordered one from Kose Visee. I will definitely keep this in mind, too! :)

  2. Thanks for the quick reviews! I haven't tried any of the products before, but the IOPE one looks worth looking into! :)
