J Crew Stovepipe Trouser in Wool Check

I was hunting for this stovepipe trouser in wool check from J. Crew for a while. I tried this on a while back when I was visiting Toronto. Liked that a lot but didn't want to pay $188 for that. I like the fit and the fact that it is fully-lined.

But of course, when you want to get them, they were no where to be found. They disappeared from the website for a good few weeks.

I finally got them on their previous promo. So happy!

J. Crew tippi sweater in polka dot in size S (sim here)
J. Crew stovepipe trouser in wool check in size 4 (buy here)

The wool is a pretty thick fabric and very nice quality. I'm drawn to fully-lined wool pants. I believe their stovepipe in wool flannel pants are not.

I'm glad I got these at a very good price. They were originally $188, on sale for $95.99 and with the 30% off, I got these at $66. They are still available online now with very limited sizes left. Reminder their 30% off sale ends tonite(Nov 18).

The length is perfect. I'm pretty lucky as I rarely need to hem my pants.

J. Crew Jaspe scoopneck popover in size S(here)

Also got this scoopneck sweater. I tried this on as well in store and know that this fits big. But they only had the small in stock back then and I decided to get it as the fabric is so soft and actually quite thick for a sweat top. I will probably layer it with a shirt underneath for warmth.

It is a gorgeous day out and hoping everyone is enjoying their weekend!

    1. it is very soft and not your typical sweat top fabric. You can dress this up and down with this.

  3. Thanks for the review of the stovepipe pants.
I asked my VPS to recommened pants to wear with my new tippi in snake(popback) and he recommended those.
What do you think,do you think they work with a jade snake print?
    TIA

    1. I would definitely pair this with the jade snake print. To me, this color of pants is so neutral as the checks are not bold and in your face. Think tippi would go really great with this as the length is perfect.

  9. Great buys! You seemed to get them at a good price as well :) I know the feeling of wanting something and then of course, it being sold out :p You're lucky you rarely need to hem your pants - my jeans are always too long and I need to fold them up each time because for whatever reason I haven't gotten around to shortening them hehe

    1. I refuse to buy things at full price. I know I can always wait for a sale but when these pants disappeared online for a good few weeks I thought I wouldn't get them. So it all works out in the end and I'm very happy with these good-quality pants. I find jeans are often longer. I have a pair which is slightly long but not long enough for me to bring to the tailor to hem it up so I just wear a bit of heels with them :)

    1. when these pants disappeared online for a good few weeks, I was so disappointed. So I was so excited to see them popback during one of their promo and I quickly grabbed them.
