February Favorites

I have tried a few new products this month and some made it to my February favorites list. For some, not too impressive. I don't really like to bash on the products I don't like. Maybe I still have not figured out how to apply them properly or maybe they just don't suit my skin type or skin tone.

MUA Undressed Eyeshadow Palette
Lush It's Raining Men Shower Gel
Bioderma Sensibio H2O
Benefit Hello Flawless Powder Foundation
NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Pigments
Maybelline Eye Color Tattoo Inked in Pink
Covergirl SimplyAgeless Concealer
MAC Archie Girl Collection Oh Oh Oh Lipstick
Covergirl Lipperfection Jumbo Gloss Balm

I have been loving a pink shadow look on my eyes lately. Pink looks better on my skin tone and gives my eyes a brighter and more awake effect. I got the NYX pigments in my GlossyBox a while back and forgot all about trying it. Bought the Maybelline Eye Color Tattoo(inked in pink) earlier this month. Such a pretty shade. Love to use these products together with the MUA undressed palette. There are a few pink matte shades that are perfect.

I got this Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless concealer(shade 215) a year ago. When I was " shopping" my unused stash of products, re-discovered this and decided to open this up and try it. To my pleasant surprise, this is an amazing concealer. A very creamy texture which is perfect for my under eyes. Don't dry out my under eye area like some concealers. As you can see, there is some creamy white swirls in the concealer. Great for brightening.

Have been enjoying my new MAC Oh Oh Oh lipstick from their new Archie Girls' Collection. Love this shade and there isn't anything you can say about how amazing MAC lipsticks are. I like to top it with the Covergirl jumbo gloss balm.

Have been reaching for the Benefit Hello Flawless powder foundation the most this month. This shade is in honey. Really gives my skin a flawless look without the "trying too hard" look. You know sometimes you look at somebody's face and you say " wow, your skin is flawless". But then you know she has put in a ton of products to get that look. This powder doesn't grease me up. I don't even have to blot halfway through the day on my t-zone.

I have had the Bioderma Sensibio H2O a while. To be honest, I did not like it when I first used it. It didn't wipe off all my eye makeup, especially my waterproof mascara. It has a such a gentle formula. So I gave it a try again and found that I just have to be more patient and soak a cotton pad with it and let it sit on my eyelids for 10 seconds and let it do its work. Then I find it working well. Glad I gave it another try.

Lush's It's Raining Men shower gel is my new shower favorite. This is my first shower gel I tried from Lush. I have tried all of their shower jelly and love them all. But they are not the easiest to use first thing in the morning when you try to scoop up a handful of slippery jelly and transfer to your loofah. It's Raining Men is a honey, toffee with some hint of citrusy scented shower gel. Smell absolutely amazing. Extremely moisturizing and lather up quite good. Scent also lingers on throughout the day.

I want to try the hello flawless powder foundation but the BA at sephora didn't recommend it for me.

    1. Do you have dry skin? If you do, don't think the Benefit Flawless powder foundation would suit you. I have oily combination skin and I find the powder does dry me up a bit which works out great.

    1. that's the fun of shopping your own stash haha. I try to put away items I haven't used in a while or haven't even opened in a separate stash. Once in a while, re-discovered pretty good items.

  13. Love Bioderma, it's the best for me. Glad that you gave it another shot! Yes, you do kind of have to be a little bit patient with it sometimes, but the main thing is it works and is so gentle. I've heard really good things about the Benefit powder. I usually don't go for pink eyeshadows because I don't think it suits me, but might have to experiment a little after your post :)
