Sephora Haul

Did a small Sephora haul as I want some gifts with purchase and the Laura Mercier 500 perk seems pretty good.

Too Faced Primed and Poreless Pressed Powder
I desperately need a good compact powder to stay in my purse for mid-day touch up. I have been loving the Rimmel stay matte pressed powder but it doesn't have a mirror and the packaging is not the ideal to use outside your home(plastic top container and I have to carry a compact kabuki brush).

NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
This is a re-purchase as I left my Urban Decay primer potion at my parents' last time I went home for a visit and have been living without a good eyeshadow primer. These two has got to my top 2 favorite eye primer.

Stila Ready, Set, Summer Makeup Set
This is my second set. This set contains the illuminating beauty balm(0.34 oz) and lip glaze in Mango. Not a big fan of their lip glaze as it is quite sticky. I love the illuminating beauty balm. This set is only $18. I have used up the illuminating BB cream and it lasted me a good 2 months. I didn't get the full-sized as I will most likely use this in the summer.

Main reason I placed a couple of online orders is to get gift with purchase. Heard so much about how awesome Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil and I almost got the full-sized one without trying it. I was very lucky as just when I was about to place the order, saw this promo for a deluxe sample size Luna oil. As the full-sized is $131, I think it would be wise to try it out first before committing.

Second promo I got is this Giorgio Armani gift set which includes the Black Ecstasy Intense Mascara, Lip Maestro Intense Velvet Color and Fluid Sheer in 2.

Also redeemed 500 perk for this Laura Mercier Flawless n 5 set.
  • Flawless Skin Face Polish (0.4 oz.)
  • Foundation Primer – Radiance Bronze (0.5 oz)
  • Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 in Nude (0.5 oz)
  • Lip GlacĂ© in Nectar (0.1 oz)
  • Matte Radiance Baked Powder Compact in Bronze 03 (0.06 oz)

I haven't used their primer for a while and excited to try out and see if the formula has changed.

Also got a few samples. I got a few perfume samples but they are not my cup of tea and I toss them already.

  1. I would love to hear more about the Luna oil. It seems everyone love it! I don't shop from Sephora much now, but I have to say these perks are quite nice! ;)

    1. I am loving the Luna oil so far. I have only used it for 3 nights in a row and I am already seeing results. Not the greatest smell but I could deal with it. I shop at Sephora mostly to get deluxe sized samples and perks :)

    1. A good perk from Sephora is hard to come by these days so when I saw this Laura Mercier came up, I was so excited and grabbed this.

  4. Woa great deals especially on the perks! Haha sometimes I get more excited about those than what I actually purchased.

  5. I was contemplating getting that Luna oil since reviews had me convinced of a total skin transformation overnight, but I talked myself off the ledge. It is hilariously expensive and a lot of bloggers that raved about it I'm sure got it for free. I mean, I'm not saying they're necessarily exaggerating or lying about the benefits/effects, but when they personally don't need to spend $150 for it, I don't feel they're in the same position as you or me when it comes to product evaluation. Still, having a sample would definitely help in deciding if it's worth the splurge!

    1. that's the thing about reviews read online or on youtube. These days, so many reviews are sponsored and you really don't know if the products are actually that good or just "fabricated". I am glad I got the sample. The bottle is a decent sized so would last me at least a few months to let me truly make up my mind about the product. So far, it is quite nice. It does deliver results faster than all other overnight skin care products I have tried.

  6. Nice lot of products you hauled - those freebies are amazing, here in Australia we hardly ever get decent samples and I miss being in Sephora where they are regularly handed out!

    1. I love trying out samples before ditching out to purchase full-sized and Sephora is quite generous in that. More so online than instore I have to say. I am not too keen on those one-time use samples though as you could barely tell if you will like the product with a single use.
