Tried it on today and besides it is a little shorter, I cannot see much of a difference.
The skirt is a size 6.
I am wearing this with Lands' End Button Side Crewneck. The color I have on is purple orchard heather but I believe the color is sold out.
This crewneck is in size S. Material is just like a casual sweatshirt but with the side buttons added, I think you can easily dress this up.
Looking back at these pictures make me wonder if this skirt is a little too short. Supposed to be a pencil skirt but it now look more like a mini skirt. Debating on whether I am going to return it....... What do you think?
the skirt looks great with the lavender of the top,but i think it looks to short.
ReplyDeletei would return it and try getting it in regular.
I have looked for the regular sized one but no luck so far. I really like the polka dots and the fabric so I may end up keeping it. I will most likely wear tights with it.
Deletelove that skirt! i think it looks great :) the skirt i'm wearing in my "trellis" post is a petite and i'm 5'6" too :)

Thank you! I went to your blog and view your skirt. Looks so cute. At second thought, I think I'm ok with the length(I'm always in a hurry so a pencil skirt will be hard to walk fast in).
DeleteLove the polka dot skirt! I definitely do not think it is too short. Then again, I'm far from conservative in my dressing, so ... :)

Thanks so much! I think I am ok with the length. I was going for a pencil skirt but knowing myself, always in a hurry, think a shorter length will fit me better.
DeleteWhat a great blog you have! Following you.
love love love the skirt!
ReplyDeletexoxo.
Thank you! I fell in love with polka dots and when I saw this skirt, said gotta have it. Waited a wee bit too long and the regular sizes are all gone. But I'm ok with the petite version. A little bit shorter than I thought but I think it would work.

Thank you very much! I know I will be wearing these a lot.
DeleteI think you've got the legs to pull off that skirt! If you're uncomfortable on the length, maybe pair it with opaque tights? But I don't see a problem with it, I think you look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! You're so sweet. Yes, I am going to get some new tights this weekend. At second thought, I think I like this "new length" better. I am a person who has no patience and always in a hurry. Think I may rip the pencil skirt with the speed I'm going at haha!
DeleteKeep it. The skirt is not too short. At least it doesn't look short too much. Do the high school skirt test. If it is longer than your hand/arm then you are okay. Talking about high school, makes me miss it.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit btw. Love the orchid color sweater.

Excellent idea of doing the high school skirt test. Same here, waaaaaaaayyyyy too long ago!!
DeleteI think I will keep it. Just have to go get some opaque tights to go well with it. Thanks for visiting my blog!
I am SO glad that you got your skirt!!! And, I'm with Lisa, I think that you've got the legs to pull it off!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy I got my hands on the skirt. I just love the material and of course the pattern. Thank you so much for the sweet compliment! Think I will keep it. I haven't seen anything remotely similar.
DeleteLove this polka dot skirt- especially paired with this cute pink sweater.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog! I think you may be on to something- the capped sleeves are a little off!
Thanks. Hope you didn't mind my " honest" comment.Oops
DeleteLove the skirt, such a beautiful pattern!

Thank you. I love polka dots and they are so classic.
Deletei'm really liking the skirt!
ReplyDeleteMe too, I have a soft soft for polka dots(actually a little obsessed) so when I saw that, I got to have it.
DeleteThank you. I think I will wear that a lot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
Darling outfit! I'm adoring this combination - I think navy polkadots with this shade of purple (looks soooo much like J. Crew's bright dahlia....swoon!) are a perfect match <3 Personally I like the skirt worn as a mini, I think it looks super cute. It just depends on if you're comfortable wearing it :) I'm always so tempted to buy petite sizes too but I think I'd need to try them on instore first (haha I'm also 5'6"). I hope you keep it.
ReplyDeleteTasia
Tasia, I love the J. Crew bright dahlia sweater and I found this similar sweater from Lands' End Canvas and I just couldn't pass on the great deal. I'm a little bit of a clump and sometimes worry that if I wear pencil skirt, I may rip the slit so actually this one would work. So, yes, I am keeping this. Hope you will find it in store too.
DeleteI am such a sucker for black and white polka dots! Especially when paired with pink! You look so adorable. I'm hosting my first giveaway on my blog if you'd like to enter!
