Maybelline Eye Studio Quad 2012 Limited Edition

Have been searching for the Maybelline eye studio quad 2012 limited edition for a while. Of course, living in a small town is even harder as drug stores don't stock a lot on limited edition items. I believe there are 4 different quads. The one I got is the Olive Martini.

The colors I'm most interested and excited to try are the two from the right

The two shades are extremely pigmented. One is more of a rusty-brown, cinnamon-y, bronze color. The one on the far right is more of a deep chocolate brown color.

I got mine at Rexall. The display for the Maybelline 2012 limited edition is so tiny. They have 2 of the quads each at the store. I went to one store and they were all sold out. Lucky I ran to the other store and they still have all the quads to choose from. They also have the limited edition eye color tattoo but I already got the one I wanted(barely beige) from ebay a few months ago. I was on ebay the past week searching for this quad and you wouldn't believe how much these go for. The bids are absolutely crazy, ranging from $45 to $65. Maybe I should grab the other quad at my drug store and put it up for sale on ebay to make a few dollars?!  Are they that hard to find even in the States?

i am not a big fan of the maybelline eyeshadow lines but these have the silkiest texture and blend like a dream. i have a couple of them, too.
the second brown shade looks very interesting. :)

  2. After seeing the U.S beauty bloggers talking about the limited Fall edition I got so excited. I would check constantly, but it seriously took so long to arrive and it's gone already!

    1. yes, it takes soooooooooo long for these limited edition items to hit the Canadian shelves. If I live in the city, would be hopping from drug store to drug store to find it. Fortunately in a small town, only got a handful of drug stores and won't take me long. So happy to finally get this and excited to try it out :)

  3. Woooaahhhh that's insane Ebay prices! I actually saw this available when I bought my LE Color Tattoo in New York but it didn't intrigue me that much. The only colour I really like is the third duochrome shade but I have something very similar in the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette.

    1. exactly, people must be desperate to get their hands on this when they bid on ebay. I just tried the quad today. That duochrome color is very interesting. I don't have anything like that and it is very pigmented. When you dip the brush in it, I thought it would be brown but it turns to be a deep turquoise color. A lot of fun to play with.

    1. I just tried this palette today and the colors are so pigmented(the 2 darker shades). The one I enjoy the most is the second right one. I thought it would be a rusty brownish color as swatched on my arm. But to my pleasant surprise, it has more of a turquoise touch. Hope you will get this in UK soon!

Thanks for visiting and I'm heading over to your blog next :)
